We are Tom and Cara Toogood, we both trained at Hereford college, after which we got married and moved to Devon. Longdog Smithy is an age old business for a modern time. Combining traditional skill with the finest quality materials to make objects that will last a lifetime. Honing our craft in the Blackdown hills, we were lucky to be surrounded by hundreds of skilled craftspeople and outdoors enthusiasts, Longdog Smithy specialises in tools and outdoor ironwork for these markets. Care is taken over every part of our work, from the blazing fires where we hammer out the steel, to the forests where we source our handle materials. Now in the stunning landscape of New Brunswick, we are pleased to bring our trade to a new country.
